S. JAFFER, DMD, MPH

Education/Experience:
Dr. Jaffer completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA. After graduation, Dr. Jaffer earned a Doctorate degree in Dental Medicine (DMD) along with a Masters degree in Public Health (MPH) from the University of Pittsburgh. He finished his General Practice Residency in Dentistry at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, OH.  He then continued on with his studies at the University of Colorado, School of Dentistry where he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Orthopedics.

Affiliations/Memberships:
Dr. Jaffer is an active member of the Arizona Dental Society, American Dental Association, Central Arizona Dental Society, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and the American Association of Orthodontists.  Furthermore, Dr. Jaffer is a Board Certified Orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics.

Elected member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Honor Dental Society/Recipient of an Oral Biology Award from the American Association of Oral Biologists/Recipient of an Undergraduate Certificate of Merit from the Pierre Fauchard Academy for outstanding academic achievements in dentistry/Recipient of a Dental Award for Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry/ Recipient of a T-35 dental student research grant from NIDCR (National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research)/ President of ASDA (American Student Dental Association) Grand Rounds Committee/ASDA Representative/Pedo club/Dean’s list/Transfer Alliance Program/Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society/International Student’s club/Science club/Treasurer Inter-club council/Indian Student’s Union.

Special Interests:
Dr. Jaffer enjoys spending time with his family and attending church. You can also catch Dr. Jaffer cheering for the Phoenix Suns basketball team.
